Every year VSAMN host its largest event of the year, Tet, also known as the Vietnamese New Year! The two hour show is run by 60-80 hard working volunteers. The show usually begins with a festival DRAGON DANCE followed by AMAZING SINGING, DANCING, a BEAUTIFUL FASHION SHOW and a HILARIOUS SKIT! Lucky Money (li xi) will be handed out for the children =) . This year we will be doing a Broadway style show in contribution to the Memory of Saigon.
About the Vietnamese Student of Minnesota (VSAM):
—The Vietnamese Student Association of Minnesota, also known as VSAMN, is a central student organization at the University of Minnesota. VAM’s objection is to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture throughout Minnesota. The organization strives to support one another in academies and social endeavors in order to enrich the college experiences of all its members by providing social harmony, student networking, opportunities for leadership enhancement skills, and fun times for everyone involved.
