VIA-1 2009 is over…it’s mid-April…the 2008-2009 school year is coming to a close…you know what that means?! VSAs around the midwest region are holding nominations and elections for their new executive board in anticipation for the 2009-2010 school year. With new officers in the various VSAs around the region, it is also time for schools to apply for membership for UVSA-MW. The weekend has finally come! Tomorrow is the kick-off to the 7th Annual Vietnamese Interacting as One Conference hosted by Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. I hope all of you are ready for an amazing weekend filled with lots of different events, activities, games, workshops, speakers, performances, and of course fun! Before all of you head out to start this action-packed weekend, head on over to VIA-1.org to see the basic schedule for the weekend, what to pack, get hotel information, check the weather, find out more about the afterparty, and keep on donating to our CPP!
The eboard, staff, and volunteer crew of Northwestern University and UVSA-MW are still working on last minute details to make this weekend a huge success and to make this conference one you won’t forget! We are all excited for the 200+ attendees to get here tomorrow and for the festivities to begin!
