UVSA-Midwest family! VSA Milwaukee Needs your HELP!

The Vietnamese Student Association of Milwaukee is reaching out to the community to help in a fundraising opportunity for the organization by MARCH 4th at 4 p.m cst.

VSA-MKE just started in November, and we are finding ways to raise funds for our organization. With these funds, we are looking to use it to support our charity events such as raising a school supplies drive for an orphanage in Vietnam to cultural events that we would like to have. As a result, we were finding ways to accomplish this. Consequently, we found a posting on 2040 Lofts that advertise whoever got the most like out of their facebook photo will receive a 500 dollar donations towards their student organization. As a result, VSA-MKE decided to participate in hope of obtaining some funds to achieve our goals. In addition, I would like to ask for you and all of UNAVSA, UVSA, and everyone else to help support our newly formed VSA-MKE to get off the ground and running. Thank you!

-Khanh Tran President of VSA-MKE

Thank you for attending the leadership retreat

On behalf of the UVSA-Midwest executive board and state representatives, I’d like to thank you for making this year’s retreat a great success. We had the largest turnout to date with attendees coming from all over the Midwest. Your contributions during the workshops made them more enjoyable and productive.

A special thank you to all the VSA presidents who encouraged their members to attend. I hope you guys didn’t mind me bugging you all the time for your final headcount.

Additionally, thank you to our advisor, Anh Thuc, for his guidance and willingness to host 30 people at his condo!

In order to make next year’s retreat even better, please give us your feedback through this post-retreat survey. We will try to incorporate your suggestions next year.

Our next event will be the VIA-1 conference at UW-Madison. If you’re interested in helping plan this event, join one of the committees (deadline: Jan 24 at 11:59 PM). It’s a great opportunity to help shape the conference and gain teamwork experience.

Don’t forget to check out the other events going on at schools throughout the region!

Also, materials from the workshops can be found here!
