Vietnamese Culture Show is an annual event held by the Vietnamese Student Association at Denison to promote Vietnam's traditions and national identity. This year's theme “Hội” represents the spirit of the festival with celebrations of dances and songs. “Hội” also means “reunion” where each and every aspect of culture all around the globe come together as a whole to enjoy the feast of performances. With the main purpose of bringing the Vietnamese culture closer to Denisonians, the show will feature numerous traditional-imbued modern dances alongside charismatic musical performances, with several rewards for audience participation.

Tearing a page off the calendar every morning until the day of the 22nd Annual VIA-1 Conference at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan from Friday, February 28th, 2025 to Sunday, March 2nd, 2025.
At the 22nd VIA-1 Conference, we will have plenty of opportunities, such as family games and workshops, that will foster an environment for you to celebrate your heritage and redefine your identity. Therefore, we have set our conference theme to be “Memories of Home: Ký ức quê nhà,” a homage to rediscovery, resistance, and nostalgia.

Diamonds in the rough… UVSA-Midwest is calling all egoists and strikers to participate in our E-Sports Extravaganza: Rocket League tournament. The tournament will consist of several stages before the finals: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and the finals being a 4v4. Lose, you fall down the stage or become eliminated. Win, you steal a player and progress the stages.
Don’t play Rocket League? Don’t worry! We are streaming the event on the UVSA-Midwest Twitch channel. You can cheer on our participants and engage in the chat or join our watch party on the UVSA-MW Discord! Throughout the tournament, we will be taking donations for this year’s CPP beneficiary, Vietnam Health Clinic. During the stream, help us achieve the goal of $100 and hit the milestones where our own staff will be completing challenges!

[Esports Extravaganza] League of Legends Tournament
The E-Sports Extravaganza are events that consist of three main tournaments: League of Legends, Rocket League, Valorant. In addition to these events, we are including bonus events that allow the opportunity for individuals that do not play these games to participate in the Extravaganza. The bonus events will consist of tournaments for: Tetris, Chess, TFT. For these events, we invite gamers from local communities across the Midwest region and/or anyone to compete and meet new people within our community. Each game will consist of different tournament formats, with multiple people competing for first place.

[E-Sports Extravaganza] League of Legends Commentator Application Deadline
We are looking for outspoken, passionate, and gaming enthusiasts to assist in these tournaments to join our team as LoL E-Sports Commentators! As a commentator, you will be giving live commentary on the respective game during the tournament. You will describe how to play the games and create a safe and fun environment for all those to enjoy.

CPP Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Tournament
Exciting News: Join us for the first Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Tournament, presented by the 21st VIA-1 Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP) Committee! 🎮
Tournament Overview:
The tournament will start with 3 rounds of Hyper Roll. Participants will be divided into two tiers: Gold and below or Platinum and up. The final round is a standard TFT game!
The grand prize awaits the first-place winners in each tier, with a $25 gift card of their choice up for grabs! 🏆
Important Dates:
Registration opens on Sunday, February 11th, and closes on Saturday, February 17th, 2024, at 11:59 PM CT. Everyone is welcome to register, including individuals outside of UVSA-Midwest!
